A School-Based Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) opportunity is available in Denton, MD, serving students from Kindergarten through 12th grade. This contract position spans the current school year (CSY), providing essential speech and language support within an educational setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments for students.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address speech and language challenges.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and educational professionals to support student progress.
- Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports in compliance with school policies.
- Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and contribute expert recommendations.
Qualifications:
- Valid Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Experience working as an SLP in a school setting with K-12 students.
- Strong knowledge of speech and language development and related disorders.
- Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with educators, families, and students.
